We are a small family owned and operated business that specializes in custom fabrication and installation of natural stone and quartz countertops. Since starting the business in 2006 we have developed a reputation for providing a special and unique experience for each individual customer. We will treat you as our neighbors and provide the best customer service available. This is why the majority of our business comes to us through referrals from satisfied customers telling family, friends and neighbors. Bio of Mike Janssen, owner

After graduating from UW-Stout in Industrial Technology with concentrations in Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance, I spent the first 15 years working in engineering and operations management roles, but always had a desire to venture into entrepreneurship and be in control of my own destination. Stone Encounters was formed in 2006, and we have been committed to providing the best possible service ever since. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with our family on the pontoon at the cottage, hunting in the fall of the year and barbequing on the Big Green Egg on a Sunday afternoon.
